A place shaped by care.
Meet Curt Clemenson, our founderIn the story recorded in the tour, Curt and Paco began working together after Curt bought a property from Paco in the 1990s. Over the years they planted native trees on degraded farmland, helping forest return to the landscape.
That history matters. Arbor Eden’s community vision grows from a long relationship with the land, with permaculture as a way of thinking about food, shelter, resources, and one another.

Care for the earth
Make choices that work with soil, water, vegetation, and the wider landscape.
Care for people
Create room for personal privacy, helpful neighbors, and different generations.
Share and give back
Look for practical ways to share knowledge, resources, and what you grow.
What would living together look like?
The philosophy is a starting point. Before buying, ask for the current written arrangements that shape everyday life.
Your home, your privacy
The vision includes individual homes within a community. Confirm property boundaries, any common areas, access rights, and the rules that apply to your parcel. Ownership and use rights need to be established by the transaction documents.
Shared spaces and participation
Curt describes his home as a possible community gathering place and speaks about gardens and the lake. Confirm which spaces are open to residents today, under what arrangements, and whether participation is optional or expected.
Maintenance, fees, and decisions
Current fees, governance, maintenance responsibilities, voting arrangements, and dispute procedures have not yet been confirmed for this website. Request the written documents and a complete cost breakdown before committing.
Local relationships
The project story begins with Curt and Paco working together. Ask who lives and works nearby, how the project collaborates with local professionals, and how you can become a considerate neighbor.
What exists and what is envisioned
The founder’s film expresses hopes for a multigenerational community and a school. A school is an aspiration, not a confirmed operating service. Shared amenities, building support, and model-home completion should be confirmed directly.
